    "It had to be said that the voice of Eartha Kitt is an acquired taste as it doesn't suit

     everyone. It has a throaty quality that just oozes sex appeal. That, and her habit of
    languidly pouring herself onto settees, or men, was considered almost too sexy for her
     TV audiences. Also her feline mannerisms: the guttural purr or growl, and her 'come to bed' eyes made her a sexual icon".
